Where is Phoenix located ?
Phoenix is centrally located in the State of Arizona on the north-eastern upper edge of the Sonoran Desert. It is an industrial and service centre surrounded by 22 other cities. Phoenix is the capital of Arizona and is one of the largest cities in the U.S. Greater Phoenix, Metro Phoenix and Phoenix. Phoenix is surrounded by the McDowell Mountains to the northeast, Superstition Mountains to the East, Sierra Estrella to the south west and the White Tank Mountains to the west.
Phoenix is the county seat of Maricopa County and covers an extensive land area in the USA. It was founded in 1861 near the Salt River, near the Gila River. Phoenix has a subtropical arid climate and the average summer temperatures soar as high as 100°F. It is popularly known as the “Valley of the Sun.” The topography of Phoenix is mainly flat except for the mountainous areas in and around the city.
