Weather in Phoenix

The climate in Phoenix is sub tropical and therefore the weather is very hot in the summer and warm in the winters. Sometimes, the temperatures have been known to hit up to 50 degrees Celsius. This kind of weather persists from late May to late September every year. After the Death Valley, this is the hottest city in the US. The winter days are usually warm with temperatures that go up to 22 degrees Celsius, which is quite warm by any standard.

There is no rainfall in summer but at the end of September humidity might be high therefore causing precipitation and sometimes flooding. The city also experiences about five days on average every year when the temperature drops below freezing point.
